Puncture repairs
Many punctures in the main tread can be safely repaired to British Standard instead of replacing the tyre. We will check and tell you honestly whether a repair is safe.
Tyre changes & checks
We swap winter and summer tyres, fit your own wheels, check tread depth and pressures, and replace valves. The UK legal minimum tread is 1.6mm, but we recommend replacing at 3mm for safe braking in the wet.
Tyres near you
We look after drivers from Glenavy, Crumlin, Lisburn, Antrim, Moira, Aldergrove, Ballinderry, Upper Ballinderry, Lower Ballinderry, Dundrod, Aghalee, Templepatrick and Hillsborough. Glenavy is easy to reach from Lisburn, Crumlin and Antrim, and we can often arrange a lift or drop-off for longer jobs — just ask.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment for tyres?
Call ahead so we can make sure we have your size in stock — common sizes can often be fitted the same day.
What is the legal tyre tread depth?
The legal minimum in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tread. Braking distances in the wet increase noticeably below 3mm, so that is when we suggest replacing.
Can a puncture be repaired?
Often, yes — if the damage is in the central tread area and the tyre has not been driven on flat. Damage to the sidewall or shoulder means the tyre must be replaced.
